If you plan to register for The Retreat at Sea on Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of The Seas, please read the information below that will make your registration process as seamless as possible.

1. A US Passport or Passport Card will be required from the pastor and spouse to register for the cruise. We will ask for your passport number and the expiration date. Please double check to be sure that the expiration date is at least one month after the cruise returns to port. If you do not already have passports, please apply as soon as possible as they typically take 4-6 weeks to process.

2. If you are not a US Citizen, you and your spouse will need valid Passports from your home country to register. Your Passport must expire at least one month after the cruise returns to port.

3. There are currently no COVID-19 restrictions on this sailing. At the moment, you will not be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative test to sail. This and all other heath requirements are set by Royal Caribbean and are subject to change at any time. Should they change, we will let you know immediately.

4. The cruise will sail out of Cape Liberty, New Jersey on August 15, 2023. You will need to plan to be on the ship by noon. The ship will return on August 19, 2023. You can plan to be off the boat before 11:00AM. Please keep in mind, you will not have access to main-land US before the cruise ship returns on the final morning.

5. Please be aware that there is a $25 per day fee for parking your car at the cruise terminal in Cape Liberty, NJ. Unfortunately, this is not included in the cruise fare and will be your responsibility. For more information and restrictions, please visit

6. Internet is not included in the cruise fare and will be your responsibly should you choose to purchase it. You will receive more information about internet access and other cruise add-ons once registration is completed and you have been confirmed for the trip.

7. We anticipate this retreat filling up quickly. Please only register if you know for certain that you will be able to attend the retreat.

8. You will be given two contingency options in the registration process
   • For your name to be added to a waitlist in the event that the sailing is full.
   • For your name to be automatically added to the second retreat in the event that the sailing is full.
   You may choose one or both. Please be aware that we will add names to the waitlist and second retreat on a first come, first served basis. Should space become available for the sailing, we will make you aware of the opening via email and you will have 48 hours to respond. If we do not hear back from you, the space will be given to the next person on the waitlist.
